These homes are modified and built in just over three months, then installed on site within just one day. This scheme is contributing to an increasing development towards portable and pocket-sized living spaces for the capital.

With the planning policies being stress-free and construction on brown field area are being encouraged by the Government, these residences can facilitate people build the spaces they yearn for.

People’s dream of having their very own home is now turning into reality, as this project prove that these could be a great residence whilst making use of brownfield sites.

Engineering and Planning giants Carl Turner Architects, Arup, and the Building Centre have also collaborated to plan and design the energy-proficient “smart house.”

This project has been produced from two recycled shipping containers, has automatic lights and a voice-activated system.
